1 - Data Collection
Our application does not collect any data for commercial purposes or share data with external servers. All data is strictly stored locally on the user's device and remains under the user's full control.
1.1 - Location Data
Bike Computer collects and processes location data for the following essential purposes:
- GPS Tracking: The app accesses your device's GPS location to record your cycling routes, calculate instantaneous & average speed, measure distance, and show your position on the map.
- Route Navigation: Location data is used to provide live navigation along loaded routes.
- Activity Recording: GPS coordinates and elevation are saved locally to create your activity log.
1.2 - Other Data Collected
- Device technical info (language, model)
- Battery level and charging status for on-screen monitoring
- Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) sensor measurements (cadence, heart rate, power) when connected
- GPX files loaded by the user
2 - Data Storage and Security
All collected metrics remain in the local app storage (Room database). You have total authority to delete routes individually or clear all data directly from the application settings.
3 - Data Sharing & GPX Export
We do not share any data with third parties. The only export mechanism is user-initiated: you may export your routes as GPX files to your own files or share them with applications of your choosing.
4 - Third-Party Services
Mapbox Maps: The app uses Mapbox for rendering map tiles. Downloading tiles communicates with Mapbox servers in compliance with their privacy policy (mapbox.com/legal/privacy). Your personal route points are never transmitted to Mapbox.
